Drag'nDrop wad hides the bots

Post by Biff »

Johnc discovered that if a deathmatch wad is played by dragging and dropping on top of zdoom.exe, bots cannot be added to the game. The error message is the familiar ".....no bots in bots.cfg......"

I've found this problem as well with 55.cab, Win98 system. If I start from the DOS prompt or shortcut, all is well.

I dont know if this is related, but timidity music seems to also not work when you drag 'n drop wads.

I've been wondering what was causing that "no bots left" thing. I was convinced it was random.

Drag-and-drop messes up the current directory. Fixed by making it always look for zcajun in the program directory instead of the current directory.

Hmm, was the timidity thing related to this?

If your timidity_exe cvar doesn't contain the full path to timidity.exe, then yes.
