Frontend
From ZDoom Wiki
A frontend or launcher is a utility that allows the user to control or change certain settings before loading Doom without requiring the user to use command line parameters.
Arguably the best and most popular launcher is ZDL and its variants, as they can support multiple (and custom) source ports and IWADs, and have a very user friendly interface.
The following is a list of frontends that currently support ZDoom:
- C#4rp Doom Launcher - .NET (Aug, 2009)
- Doom Connector - Win32
- Doomloader- Perl (Jul 02, 2005)
- Doom Engine Launcher - VB.net (Jan 7, 2006)
- Player Connector - Win32 (Nov 30th, 2005)
- Simple Zdoom Launcher - Win32 executable only (Mar 28, 2003)
- TelefragMapSpawn - Win32 executable only (Feb 09, 2005)
- Unleashed - Win32 + VB6 (Jun 29, 2003)
