Freedoom is a total conversion project for the Doom engine intending to provide a full set of replacement IWADs under a 
modified BSD license. Freedoom requires a limit-removing source port to work as its levels are not all compatible with vanilla Doom.
Three different Freedoom IWADs exist: "Freedoom Phase 1" that corresponds to Ultimate Doom, "Freedoom Phase 2" that aims for compatibility with Doom II and Final Doom PWADs, and finally "FreeDM" which is a Doom II IWAD geared exclusively for multiplayer.
